Try exploring Japan's lush countryside without traveling on the road for 24 hours. One of the towns I recommend is Mashiko where I live. It is a sleepy town famous for its ceramic potteries and fashionable cafes and not only that, you can explore nature by hiking the mountains and hills nearby. One of those attractions is Mt. Michi no eki Mashiko Japan has a lot of roadside stations in rural areas. The purpose of this is to provide resting areas for motorists traveling long distances for a quick rest and break. But what makes this a special place to visit especially for foreigners is that you got to know the local town`s products, specialties and produce.
